Antique Japanese Samurai Sword Unsigned 200 Years OldThis is a genuine antique samruai sword. I think it was maed around the 1800's. The cutting edge is 16 3/4 and overall in the handle and case 27. It has a silver nad copper 2 piece habaki. There is a wood black lacquered scabbard that is very nice (probably the best part of the sword), and a junk handle core (there is wood, some strange plastic and what looks like an old shoelace). You can see the straight temper on both sides and through the tip. You can see the grain cleraly in some areas. It has a couple of open welds, scratches, scuffs, has been cleaned with something that shined it up. Probably not a treasure but ti is a real antique sword. I see no fatal flaws. Here is a chance to own a real samurai sword at less tahn the cost or many reproductions, it is listed with no reserve. I may be adding some other items so please check other items. |
