Japanese Samurai Aikuchi Tanto W Fkm KozukaJapanses samurai aikuchi tanto with silver end matchig kozuka, fuchi. The kozuka has gold, shibuichi and shakudo overlay. The tsuba has shibuichi, gold and copper inlay as well sa fuchi and koshire. The blade si signed (not translated). It hsows beautiful temper line over the edge of the blade. Dimensions aikuchi ful length is 17 1/2 saya is 12 1/4 the handle si 5 the tsuba is 2 3/8 x 2 1/4 blade 15 the cutting edge is 11. Period and gae 18th century. Condition the blade is almost in perfect condition, no dings, onr cavities. The saya has some age wear. The kozuka blade is later made as well as the wrappping over the handle. The signature on the tsuba is not translated and probably the name of the maker fo all the set. This very beautiful and elegant water dropper would make a perfect addition to any collection.
