Japanese Sword Wakizashi In ShirasayaThis is a japanese sword wakizashi in shirasaya. The blade is unsigned, with sayagaki (opinion), shobu-zukuri shape, muromachi period made blade. The blaed is in old full polish and in super mint condition. The temperline is wavy notare temper with nie (crystal) active above temper trhoughout the blade and has deep turn back temper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame hada andno forging flaws. There is no nicks, no bend, no crcak and the cuttingedge is razor sharp. The blade is rested in ho-wood shirasayawith double copper habaki. It measures 15 3/4 cutting edge, 1 width, 6mm thickness at the notch and 23 in shirasaya mountings. |
