Old Rare Silver Tsuba Inlaid Gold Lion SuperbSupebr old silver tsuba inlaid with an exceptional gold chinese foo dog. This tsuba may well be classified as. In over 35 years of katana & tsuba collecting, i have seen many made of copper, brass & iron but never a solid silver tsuba. There is a signature or seal of maker but can't read due to stylized calligraphy. Made for tanto or wakizashi, size is 2 1/4wide x 2 1/2 high. Add this to your collection and be the envy of your sword collecting friends. Chances are this may be the only silver tsuba to be offered in your lifetime. Please notice the seal or signature on the lower left side was not inscribed/chiseled on after the tsuba was made, it is oirginal to the tsuba so be assured it was not added on later. Note can any collector tell me what the seal reads? Seems the sytlized signature used on hanko to sign documents.
