Old Vintage Antique Japanese Samurai Sword Rare Wwii

It looks like the blade has beni smeared with kasmoline. mI not in the field of sword collecting so please feel free to ask questions. There is some writing on the wodo handle. I baught this sword from a person who tears down houses and found this along with some other things in a crawl space.
